“Sparse post folk genius,”  LOUDER THAN WAR

‘After It All’, is the sophomore album from Delta Rae released by Warners in the U.S on April 7. Hailing from North Carolina they have been taking their first steps across the Atlantic, with a number of sold out and rammed shows at the Barfly, The Great Escape and Liverpool Sound City.

This folk rock sextet, bring soulful influences from the deep south, with hints of blues, country and gospel blended to create this cinematic and epic sound.  A romantic interpretation of the American Frontier and folklore, they explore raw landscapes, potential of the new and promises of freedom all infused with a sense of jeopardy and adventure, somewhere between the old world and the new world still to be harnessed and civilized.

Tracks move from the surreal wanderlust of A Dream, to the RnB slanted track, Scared, with a Bonnie and Clyde style narrative.  Bottom of the River is a blues /gospel track, with stunning percussive elements. I Will Never Die, has a tribal feel, reminiscent of Polly Harvey, whilst showcasing Brittany Holjes vocals, intense and raw. Cold Day in Heaven, is soulful, with Liz Barnes on vocals, featuring joyfully disjointed violins. Whilst Chasing Twisters is a whirl through the canyons and frontiers of the wild west and Run, as uplifting and courageous as epic.

Already gaining coverage with Rolling Stone Magazine, Forbes and Time in the U.S., performing sold out shows coast to coast, as well as festivals including: Voodoo, Lollapallooza, SXSW and appearances on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno and also Seth Meyers, they are set to make an impression in the UK this year.
